Four-day DYFI state executive committee to beginning on Sept 24 - 2010



The four-day Tamil Nadu state Executive committee of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), beginning here from Sept 24, would chalk out the strategy to successfully fight various problems being faced in the country, particularly in education, employment and health fields.

About 500 delegates, including 115 women, would participate in the sessions on all four days, during which the corruption in Common Wealth Games and Cricket fields would also be discussed, S Kannan, state DYFI secretary told reporters here today.

CPIM politburo member, Sitaram Yechury would address a public meeting on the last day, when a procession would be flagged off by M B Rajesh, MP and All Indian joint secretary of DYFI, Kannan said.

The meeting would also discuss the strategy to be adopted to exert pressure on both the Centre and State governments for immediate implementation of Sethu Samudram Canal project,
